I founded Jade HR Consulting to give businesses HR support they can genuinely rely on — honest, commercially aware, and focused on actually moving things forward rather than just ticking boxes.

Most of my career has been spent in HR within the technology sector, including senior roles at two of Cambridge's most respected technology businesses: TTP, one of the world's leading deep technology development consultancies, and Granta Design, whose materials intelligence software is used by engineers across aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing worldwide. I also led the HR workstream through a significant acquisition process at a London-based software company — managing international employment arrangements for staff in the US and India, then navigating the redundancy process when the deal ultimately fell through. Between them, these roles taught me what it really takes to support fast-scaling, knowledge-intensive businesses through high-stakes people challenges, and how to get it right when it matters most.

My particular focus is employee relations — the hands-on, practical work of managing disciplinaries, grievances, dismissals, and performance issues, along with the complex situations that can derail a business if they're not handled properly from the outset. I bring both strategic and operational grounding to this work, holding a Level 5 CIPD qualification in Human Resource Management alongside an NVQ in Business Management, built on over a decade of doing this properly. 

Alongside my time in tech, I've also worked across recruitment, manufacturing, education, and professional services, so that same commercial, people-first approach travels well beyond one industry. Tech is where I specialise, but the fundamentals of good HR — clarity, fairness, and commercial common sense — hold true for any growing organisation.
